Our final update for 2025: As always, it is our greatest joy to be serving Jesus. The Lord has been working on…

1) Sheri: Don met her at the park. She came back to the house to pray with us. She got filled with the Holy Spirit and was water baptized straight away. She had been suffering from a life-threatening neck artery issue. We believe she is healed in Jesus’ name!

2) Jordan and Lauren: A young couple in their twenties whom Don met on a bike ride. I can’t remember exactly how things went with the couple, but according to my notes, I think Jordan was already water baptized, but we prayed for him to receive the Holy Spirit (which he did). Lauren was already Spirit-filled, but she hadn’t yet been water baptized (which she did in our pool, after we finished praying over Jordan, I believe). I think I do remember that we spent quite a long time together on the pool patio, encouraging the couple and sharing Scripture, and they were very touched by the whole evening.

3) David: He was part of a large group of born-again young people who were attending a local Jesus training school. After Don ministered to them all at the park for about an hour (where about nine of them were gathered for fellowship), they all came back to our house to hear more and to pray. During prayer, we laid hands on David (the only one yet to be filled with the Holy Spirit), and he eventually spoke out clearly in tongues. It took a long while, given various things going on in his mind and heart, but we never gave up. We were all rejoicing when he finally experienced praying in the Holy Spirit for the first time!

4) Newly-married Spirit-filled couple who had been told they can’t have kids: We prayed over the wife to help her start praying in tongues again (which she had rarely done since being anointed with the Holy Spirit), and we prayed for a miraculous answer to their prayers for children. It is done in the name of Jesus!

5) Tammy: I got chatting with her during one of Ellie’s volleyball practices. After she shared with me some of her personal and family struggles, I invited her to catch up one afternoon to talk more about answers through Jesus. She was really happy to, as she had just recently started to go back to church and read the Bible. We walked and talked for a very long time, after which I offered to pray over her on the little pier off to the side of the lake park. She received the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, quite quickly, and she was tearfully joyful. She wants to get water baptized when her family can be present to witness her commitment to Jesus, so I am in the process of encouraging her toward that.

6) Anthony and co-worker Liz: They came by our house to sell powerwashing services. Liz first passed by our house, feeling she should visit ours last (even though it’s in the middle of the street!). Because of that, they were able to end their workday and stay as long as they liked. Don had started talking to them about the Lord in our driveway, and then they came inside to continue the conversation and pray. They both received the Holy Spirit as we all prayed over them, and then they wanted to be water baptized (which they did in our pool). As they were preparing to leave that afternoon, Liz opened up more and shared that just two days earlier, she was seriously considering suicide based on everything that had been going on in her life. She left our house feeling transformed and delivered from darkness, with miraculous peace, hope, and joy for the very first time in her life!

7) Kat: Don, Ethan, and Daniel originally met her at an event they were attending here in Florida, and then Kat recently came across them again at a different event in Arizona. Kat purposely sought them out because she loved the clothing they were selling and never had a chance to purchase any items at the first convention. They all ended up going out to dinner together and talked about Jesus pretty much the whole time. Kat had been asking God for the Holy Spirit for the last few months — and, now, the guys were sharing with her their personal experiences with the Holy Spirit, along with testimonies of our family praying for many others over the years! Kat had been water baptized earlier this year as her first step toward getting right with Jesus. They all ended up going back to the hotel room, where Kat could diligently seek the Lord in prayer. I wasn’t there, but apparently she received very powerfully and was sobbing deeply afterward, joyful and relieved and feeling miraculously changed and delivered from the ways of the flesh. Praise Jesus! I spoke to her on the phone for a couple of hours a few days afterward. We prayed in the Holy Spirit together and had a beautiful conversation. She is so zealous for Jesus and for overcoming evil with good in this world!

8) An older married couple that Don met at the convention: Don got chatting with them about the Lord just outside the guys’ vendor booth. The wife shared a struggle she was having (with alcohol addiction), so Don offered to pray over her. She received the Holy Spirit and was quite amazed despite her previous negative misconceptions about speaking in tongues. Although he tried seeking the Lord, the husband didn’t receive the Holy Spirit as he was still holding on to various doubts and fears. Yet, a beautiful seed was planted that the Lord will certainly water over time!

9) Elijah: Don and the guys had met him in California when they sold him some of their used camera equipment. They came across each other again this many years later (about six or seven, I think) at the recent convention in Arizona. Elijah was very happy to see them all and shared with them some of his current life struggles. Even though he has been filled with the Holy Spirit for many years, I don’t think Elijah has prayed in tongues much at all (at least not in recent years), so Don and the guys prayed over him to help him get “fired up” in the Holy Spirit. I love the way God orchestrates things so miraculously to bring people together!

10) Spirit-filled lady at hotel: On their drive back from the event, Don got chatting with a lady at one of the hotels they stayed at. He quickly discovered that she is Spirit-filled, but she hasn’t prayed in tongues in a long time. Don encouraged her, shared Scripture, and prayed over her. They parted ways, with her feeling thoroughly renewed and refreshed. Don followed up with the lady yesterday, and she shared that she has been eagerly praying in the Holy Spirit since that day, with a zealous re-commitment to Jesus!

11) Venus: Don went for a quick bike ride to the park yesterday, and Ethan left for a run at the same time, but he took a different route. As Don almost always does, as he entered the park, he prayed that the Lord would show him someone to speak to. Moments after he prayed that prayer, Don spied a gal reading a Bible. The gal (named Venus) was very touched by what Don had to share, and just as Don was mentioning the rest of his family and how we are all Spirit-filled, too, Ethan came running up the trail toward them. (Ethan didn’t intend to meet up with Don at all. However, he had decided to cut his run short so he could get home earlier for something he had tentatively planned.) Anyway, shortly after that, Venus was keen to pray for the Holy Spirit. She received, speaking in tongues, and was very touched by the whole experience. She was also amazed at how God had set things up for her to hear Don’s message. (To cut a long story short, it was absolutely unusual for her to be at the park that day!) As far as I know, Venus was water baptized at her church fairly recently, and she thinks her mom speaks in tongues, too. Don has been keeping in touch with Venus, so hopefully she will bring her mom over to meet us all, so we can share with her the same scriptures and some of our life experiences as encouragement and inspiration for them both.
