There are lots of people we have been upholding in prayer:

1) Kat (Kate) – This is the gal Don and the guys prayed over in Arizona (and she got mightily filled with the Holy Spirit) at their last convention. She recently came to Orlando from Phoenix for a business convention. While Kate was here, she came to visit us and introduce us to Oscar, a Spirit-filled work colleague and dear friend of hers. They had just started dating with a serious view to marriage, and it was so beautiful to hear their commitment before the Lord to keep things pure between them until their wedding day. I pray they will be a strong and inspirational example for many couples in the midst of our contemporary culture, which treats morality so casually. It was a wonderful time of fellowship with Kate and Oscar while they were here.

2) Rachel, Catherine, and others – Don and Ethan are at a different convention right now. They sent me news that they prayed over a twenties-something gal and she received the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, praise Jesus! Don and Ethan were excited to have their booth located right near an exit (not their choice – it was the spot assigned to them), which makes it super convenient for them to offer to pray with people! Don also spoke for a long time with a lovely young lady, Catherine. She wanted to get water baptized, so they ended up leaving the booth and zipping over to the hotel (where Don and Ethan are staying) to baptize her. Catherine met them there with the family friend she is staying with during the convention, so they got to share some encouragement with the family friend as well. Apparently, there have been many others with whom Don and Ethan have had an opportunity to share messages, praise Jesus.

3) Venus – We have been catching up with Venus regularly, via text and in person, which has been awesome. I love her passion for Jesus!

4) Jasmine and Samuel – We met them downtown as we were all crossing the road at the same spot. Don noticed Samuel’s Christian t-shirt, so we got talking, and soon we (including Jasmine, his Spirit-filled wife) were praying over Samuel. He was touched so beautifully as he was filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues. We encouraged them both to use the Holy Spirit and go forth to minister to others as soldiers of Christ, and they were inspired by what he shared.

5) Daniel & others – Daniel and a friend were street outreaching by the side of a road with a “Free Prayer” sign. Don stopped to chat with them, and he was soon praying over Daniel to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Daniel received and was very grateful for all of the scriptural encouragement Don shared with him. There have been quite a few other situations seemingly set up by the Lord as Don has been out and about doing errands and returning from day trips. One was at a Home Depot on Don’s way back from Ocala. Don got chatting with a Seventh-day Adventist staff member who was helping him. The guy told Don that he absolutely believed the Lord sent him to the store to share an important message with him, and the guy asked Don to pray over him, praise Jesus!

6) Teenage boy and others at the lake dock: As always, our local lake and dock area has been a blessed hub of activity for the Lord. As Don was relaxing on the dock one day, an older lady with her teenage grandson was there, too. Don got chatting with her, which soon led to the subject of God, and Don found out that she is Catholic yet Spirit-filled (speaking in tongues). She said she loves being Spirit-filled, but she’s hesitant to tell her church friends about it. As they chatted more about Jesus and Scripture, the lady asked Don to pray over her grandson to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Don asked the boy if he wanted that, and he was eager, so they prayed right there. He received the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues! Don encouraged them both some more and shared our contact details with them. It never ceases to amaze me how God moves upon people to come together – those who are hungry and thirsty, and those who have answers. I think there have been some other similar testimonies that I haven’t recorded. According to my notes, I know there was one young-ish couple that Don recently prayed over, but I can’t remember the details. I think one of them was already Spirit-filled, but the other wasn’t, so they got to pray — the one received, and the other was kind of “re-ignited” as he hadn’t prayed in tongues much over the years.
